Is the only way to access the Fitbit API is by logging via an authorization page?

Hello, I am a UI and UX designer and just want to know if the only way to connect to the FitBit API is via the authorization page. Oura for example, has it where you can generate an access token and paste it into your application - Does Fitbit allow that? Hoping for a high level answer here, I read the Fitbit docs it's just a bit jargon-y to me.

Also is there a sample flow where I can test out the authorization page? I.e a site that has this flow of connecting to the Fitbit API? I tried the links in the doc but they did not work.
