Can someone please explain how to use the Device API for accelerometer data? I have been trying to build the API from dev.fitbit.com into the FitBit Studio program. However, I keep getting notifications that the build has failed. Can someone help me out/provide a tutorial of how to successfully build the Accelerometer API?

If you login to Fitbit Studio, New Project, select the "Sensors" template. That should just work.

Thanks Jon, that was very useful. 

Now that the API sensor works on my device (I am using a Fitbit Versa), I would like to export the raw XYZ accelerometer data, for further analysis (in Matlab e.g.). How is the possible? Could you possibly explain this?

 

Furtermore, I am interested in exporting raw XYZ data from the Fitbit Inspire HR, is it possible to use the same API (considering the fact that it is not possible to install apps on Inspire HR)? And if not, how can this be accieved with for example a web API?
