Read frequency from FitBit

I would like to use FitBit for research purposes, and I need to be able to make frequent reads from the device. I read the API is limited to 150 calls per hour, is that correct? Is there a way to get real-time data or to remove this limit? Thanks!

You can build an app for the device and read the sensors directly. Check out https://dev.fitbit.com/getting-started/
