First post here, and I apologize in advance if this information is listed elsewhere but I am having a heck of a time trying to locate it.
I have a few general questions about FitBit's SDK capabilities and restrictions in a commercial setting:
1. Does Fitbit allow commercial applications with their SDK/devices? For example, if we were to outfit a large organization to track their aggregated step counts throughout a workday, would a commercial application like this be allowed and supported?
2. IF this use-case were to catch on, would Fitbit support [infinite] scale? For example, would a 10,000 unit order cause any issues in terms of the technology capabilities/scalability and/or Fitbits guidelines/regulations/restrictions?
3. Does the Fitbit SDK access allow for use with our own app, such as bypassing the Fitbit app and servers all together?
4. Does the Fitbit SDK allow for programmable haptics and buttons?
5. How does the SDK onboarding and integration process occur? Does Fitbit go through an approval process for organizations looking for this level of access like Garmin does?
I truly appreciate any information or even being pointed in the right direction!
I am also interested in speaking with a Fitbit SDK representative, but I cannot seem to find that contact info anywhere. Any ideas?
