ANSWERED

So,

My app is ready to be published, but I am having difficulty figuring out how to take a screenshot from my versa 2.  Is it possible, and as a follow-up, is it possible to take a video?  I would love to show them the swipe (I could do this with a gif instead).

Thanks to this community for all the help that has gotten me this far.

I think it can be done using Studio or CLI and a physical watch.

As far as I know, gam.fitbit.com only accepts PNG's and JPEG's (from the upload boxes- check image). However there is a workaround this, and that is to use a 3rd-party website and upload videos or .gif's to their, and put that link in your description. Screen Shot 2020-05-31 at 6.59.05 PM.png

Thank you. That makes sense. Is tgere a way to get the screenshot without using the simulator?  It will not work with my Google account. I have a Versa 2 for hardware.

Yep,

It was right there on top in the studio.  In CLI, I think it is a command..  I have not run the CLI yet, but I do have an unrelated question about the CLI.  If I use it, do I need to remove the CLI specific dependencies from the packagJson file before submitting it to GAM?

"devDependencies": {
  "@fitbit/sdk": "~4.0.0",
  "@fitbit/sdk-cli": "^1.7.0"
}

Nope, that's all fine.

@MattMack ,

I think they do allow animations in GAM.They mention it in the publishing checklist and provide a link to this site.

I assume they only allow APNGs though.

@Gondwana ,

Thanks.  That is excellent. I may use vscode moving forward.
