Hi, I would like to know if I can running the sensor in background, does not matter if the display is off ?

Yes, you can run sensors when the display is off. There will be some impact on battery life.

 

Your clockface/app will be closed if the user starts any other app (such as the Today app), so you can't get sensor data when that happens.
