Working on a client project and have to decide on a smartwatch to use. Considering Fitbit but I need to know the answers to these questions:

 

1. Can you put a fitbit in Kiosk Mode so that its home screen is an app you want?

2. Can you have an app that prompts different messages (text, picture) sent from a server?

3. Can you have such app as standalone so you don't need to have a phone connected and just commands directly to the watch over wifi?

Hi!

1. You can just keep the app running, but there is no way to set an app as your home screen.

2. Yes, you can receive text or pictures from a server using fetch or WebSockets.

3. No, there is no way right now to use the Wifi on the watch. If you need to use WebSockets or fetch, then you will always need to have a connection to your phone.
