Is there a way to view Fitbit Studio in light mode instead of dark mode. 

I struggle to read the code with the black background.

Based on my testing in MS Edge, I don't think so. Even setting the browser for "Light mode" makes no difference. Since it's a Web page, the design is up to the source config and server, not the end user unless this is set as an option by the source (FitBit in this case). An alternative is to use another IDE and integrate with the CLI (Command Line Interface). MS Visual Studio is a common choice.
