Timeline of getting Blood Oxygen reader under API?

I know there have been previous posts about accessing the Sp02 reader for blood oxygen levels. My question is will there ever be a release under the API that lets us access that information?

Please vote on the feature suggestion to add weight to the demand. If you can also describe your use case that would be helpful too. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Add-SpO2-Sensor-to-SDK/idi-p/3086895

Hi,

The use case that I (as another developer) have is that I'd like to see if relative O2 is dropping.

I realize that you are having trouble getting certified for absolute O2 percentage. You're dealing with variations in skin color, tattoos, and varying external light levels as "for instances" that can make establishing absolute percentages very difficult.

Why not expose this as a light sensor with the unit of "lumens" or "relative lumens"? That will give the developer community an opportunity to use the sensor and provide you with feedback so that you can improve your own apps.
