Hello Fitbit Team,
I am in the process of developing an Exercise App.
Unfortunately, two standard functionalities prevent a meaningful implementation of such an app.
1) The "Backswipe" function.
It terminates my ExerciseView when it is executed. The only workaround is to intercept the event and set the View back to the original state. The resulting animation is not very appealing. Also, the left side of the screen cannot be permanently used for buttons.
2) The "Left Side Button" function that terminates the app.
The LeftSideButton terminates my app whenever it is executed. For example, when doing pushups, you can't help but activate this button every now and then. This functionality is really killing.
You have already recognized these two problems and consequently removed the "Left Side Button" function and the "Backswipe" function from your own Exercise app.
Please give developers a chance to build decent apps as well.
With kind regards
Ben

but is there a way to prevent the "Back Swipe" animation, when the left side of the screen is touched?
