Watches can't connect to Windows application

I own 2 Fitbit devices and neither can connect to the Windows application. I wear my Versa 1, but my Versa 3 is for development only.

I connected both to my wifes phone to set them up as my phone doesn't support the Fitbit mobile app. I then tried to connect them to the Windows application with a Fitbit dongle. The problem is the devices are never found when searching, even though they're paired to my machine.

I know I can't use the Companion API without a phone. I plan to get a new phone, but I want to be able to preview the clock faces on a real device rather than the emulator.

Is this possible without a phone? Is the Windows app buggy or is it just me?

I've never been able to get the dev bridge working using dongle and Windows app.

Thank you that's good to know I'm not the only one. I'm going to have to invest in a new phone I think.

The developer bridge on the watches connects to the server ok, so I can preview on device. That'll do 🙂

I'm noticing it's disconnecting from the server pretty quickly.
