Will Fitbit collect HRV data continuously?

I am just wondering how often Fitbit devices record HRV data. For example in devices like Fitbit Sense. I would like to have a continuous recording of HRV data for my research study. Is it possible using Fitbit? If my understanding is correct HRV is being recording automatically in a day during sleep. Please correct me if I am wrong.

HRV is not available using the SDK, but you can get it (not in real time) via the Web API. If you export your data using the Fitbit app, you'll be able to see what times it covers.
