fitbit studio and simulator

Today fitbit studio will not recognize the simulator. I re-installed the simulator, but it still doesn't load.

Rebooted my computer too, and that didn't work. Any ideas?

I should mention its a Mac os.

Just re-installing simulator did not help. I had to log out of it and re-enter password to get it to finally work.

It's happened again. I think my Mac just updated. I reinstalled the simulator, logged back in, restarted the computer, and did all this twice, and still studio will not recognize the simulator. Any ideas? It's strange that it is exactly one month after the last time.
