how to connect

hello i am on a windows system, i have everything downloaded and installed and it says that i am connected to the simulator.  i have no clue what do do next.  i am trying to create my own clock face i already have the images and everything pretty much ready to go.  the instructions on the official site are horrible any help would be great.

and please, do not even bother with any of the instructions or videos from the fitbit developer (https://dev.fitbit.com/build/guides/command-line-interface/) as they are actual dog s***.  i would greatly appreciate some clear instructions of for windows.  i have all of the required software downloaded and installed even have graphics and everything made but i have no clue how to connect the files and where the hell i am even supposed to connect them as the instructions and guides are all out dated or just complete trash.

I think you'll need to ask a more specific question.

A good place to start would be to try to get Fitbit's example from here going.

no ive been there. the instructions arent clear. its clear this is a waste of time.  thanks for the help

Hi @mccaber - since Fitbit Studio was removed development is understandably very difficult for ordinary users wishing to make their own clocks or apps. 

Note: if you have a Versa 4 or Sense 2 you won't be able to do it anyway.

Another reference location might be Github repository at https://github.com/Fitbit/ossapps . There you can see and learn how actual fitbit clocks/apps are made, their file structures, where to put your graphics files and link to your program, etc.
