Accidentally paired my new fit bit to my daughter's account.

Hi there.

I got a Fitbit Sense 2 today and I was too excited so I accidentally paired it to my phone which has my daughter's Versa 3's account.

I would like her data to be saved and the email address I signed her up to remain the same but I would like to use my new Fitbit and don't know how to back up the steps to take the Sense 2 off the account and just restore her Versa.

If I know how to do this, then I'll create a new account with a new email address for my Fitbit.

And then pair her Fitbit to another device.

Any help is so appreciated.

First question: Did you create a new account for yourself with a separate email, or use add your Sense 2 to your daughter's account?

I'm so grateful for your help.

I added my sense 2 to my daughter's account on my phone. Face palm.

So I now paired her versa with her iPad and that's all good, but even though I uninstalled the Fitbit app and reinstalled it on my phone, it will only populate Sign In and not Create Account. I can't find any way to create a new account from the app on my android phone. It just has two options:) sign in with Google, or 2) sign in with Fitbit.

As you can likely see, I've used a new email address to attempt to attach the new email address with my new sense 2 Fitbit on the web. But it only gives me my name and the newer email address and no option to create a password here so that I can log in on the app on my phone.

But above it sees that I'm not my daughter as she is Acacia22 and I'm Acacia2226.

I'm so confused.

First, don't worry about what device it is on.  Account/passord is the key.  Give me a minute to figure these out.  As long as you each will have separate device , will be okay.

When you first added new Sense 2 to your phone, did it say, you already have Sense on this account, do you want to replace it, or something like that?

If you are logged into your daughter's account, you should be able to log out, then create a new account.  To get to log out, tap your profile picture to get top your account page with "log out' option at the bottom.

But I can't follow what you are doing with switching account names.  I fear you are just adding complications.

As long as you think you are working now, good for you. I suggest you make sure alerts for each of you are going the right place.  If not, might have to check bluetooth settings on each device as alerts come from phone/tablet, not from fitbit.  And check that daughter's history is still there, and you don't have her history.
