Add jogging to Sense 2 Exercise app

Older runner/jogger here. Wondering why Fitbit does not have JOG as an exercise activity.

I do have fast runs but then I have those that are faster than walking but slower than a fast pace. My Sense 2 defaults to Intense Activity, but I'd really love to see JOG available.

What do you say, Fitbit?

@PLWolfe jog is just run. Nobody really knows what jogging is because it doesn't have a definition. Running is defined as motion when there is a time when both feet don't touch the ground (unlike walking). What is jogging? I have heard various definitions like it's a slow run (slow run is still run!), hopping motions (higher vertical oscillation), or that it includes heel strike (so the majority of ultra runners are joggers?). Until now, as a runner, I have no idea what jogging is but I have my own guess. Word "jogging" is used by beginner runners who are not confident yet to call themselves runners. I have never seen a jogging option on any sports watch and probably it's because such an option is rather redundant. A slow run is still run.

I agree with @Triletics. If you are moving faster than walking pace then you are running. A slow run but you are still running.

Most of Fitbit's sport profiles are nothing more than labels anyway. So technically you could record it as a walk and see the same results as you would if you had recorded it as a run.

Although the view @Triletics is sort of accurate (jogging could be subsumed by running), there is nothing wrong with having options that are decently precise. Sure, they (mostly) get savef otherwise the same; the distinction ultimatelt is to serve you the end-user.

Currently there exists four tracking-mode type of activities (availed---if i'm not mistaken--- across all Fitbit-compatible devices offering tracking, not just Sense2): Walk, Run, Hike, and Bike. The lattet-most is notably different as it is meant for a wheeled vehicle. The former two differ mostly just by name, whereas the remaining parambulatory mode doesn't allow laps.

Personally I very seldom use 'Run', because.. well I don't much run. That leaves 'Walk' or 'Hike'---- not a huge selection. I do use "Hike" occasionally, but mainly for walking on hilly terrain with dogs or otherwise especially strenuous walking/running (especially if including non-paved trails) in which saving 'laps' isn't a huge advantage. That leaves just "Walking mode for vast majority.. boring.

Some of my "Walk"s do exhibit some jogging (or even bonafide running proper) but not enough distance at that kind of dtride or intrnsity that I would prefer labeling it as such.. which I associate more with "sprinting".
