After firmware update (Aug 2024) bug: prompt asking to end exercise

After the recent firmware update my sense 2 watch prompts me asking to end exercise 5 minutes into spin workout, and sporadically during workout. I start the spin workout from the watch, and do not have “auto recognize” turned on…. This just started happening after the watch firmware update. I have restarted the watch, double checked settings and restarted the phone, and phone app.
Hope an easy fix, this is annoying. If I miss the prompt it will end my workout.

To clarify, you went into your app settings under exercise, and turned off "auto recognition" under each exercise?

And then, on your watch itself, did go to each specific exercise (like you are getting ready to record it), and instead of hitting the start arrow to record, scroll ALL the way down. And turn off auto start and auto stop for each exercise? That last step is what I was missing at first. Once I did that, the issue went away.

KriCro, you are basically suggesting to disable all the auto-detect feature completely to have the watch working properly. Meaning with NO Auto-Detect for my walk exercise, elliptical and so on. none at all.

Thanks, but if the fitbit can't automatically detect my work out anymore, I think it may be time for me to accept that Fitbit is not good enough (and move on).

You can choose which exercises use the auto start/stop feature. Spin is unique where it doesn't sense you moving so it asks you if you want to stop, and if you miss that question and don't reply - it stops tracking. Each type of sport has it's own settings under the settings menu on the watch.

I don't work for Fitbit, just contributed to this to: 1. find an answer to solve my issue, then 2. share the findings with others so they can solve their issues.

Have a nice day,
