With Fitbit unexplicably unwilling to provide any answer to the legit questions by the users I analyzed one of the hands on video now available (this) and came out with the list of the 40 exercise that Fitbit lists as a major selling point of the new Sense 2 / Versa 4

Question is: are those new exercises really offering something more or just labels?

@Dopovo seeing recent videos I almost have no doubt these are just labels. I don't expect Weights to start counting sets, reps and time rest or rowing/running to add cadence or Stair Climber to count floors (which wouldn't be hard as it's a fixed-size machine) etc. Good Fitbit expands the list of exercises but it is a different thing to support exercise from just adding a label. I'm hoping however to be wrong on this one.

 

Edit: I'm curious why Fitbit claims 40+ suggesting more types than 40 when it's exactly 40.

Is anyone really wearing a smartwatch while Kickboxing or Martials arts?🤔

@JackDrake I believe some people do so. I wouldn't do it myself as there is always a risk of not only damaging the watch but also getting injured or inflicting injury on somebody else. I do use other watches for sports like bouldering and rock climbing (which apparently haven't got a place on the new list) but Fitbit watches are out of the question, too fragile.

Nothing is being distinguished by Fitbit. They are just there as labels showing duration, heart rate and calories burned. It's up to the user to select the one he thinks it's more appropriate.

Yeah, that was kinda my point. I'll wait for the reviews before making any sweeping pronouncements, but these seem like distinctions without differences.
