Altimeter is listed as a sensor but then i can't find any description on floor measurements. Can you please confirm the metric is implemented? Thanks

@Dopovo This is a user to user help site. No one here has actually seen or used this device. However, the altimeter has always counted one floor for a continuous 10 ft increase in elevation.

@LZeeW thanks for effort but wouldn't be this the best place to ask clarification to place an eventual pre-order? What would be otherwise the reason to open the dedicated section now? Also, aren't the various xxxFitbit moderators actual Fitbit employees? Thanks
@Guy_ thanks for spotting that. I hope it's not a typo (it wouldn't be the first time)

@Dopovo Fitbit has been opening up these new device forums on the release date for as long as I can remember. I've been a member of the Community Council since 2017 and have seen many model releases. If a moderator chimes in and says, "yes, it counts floors" it's because they read the same published information that we all have access to.

@Guy_ I think you are misreading my post. The altimeter is listed as a component. I responded to the, "find any description on floor measurements" part. Fitbit describes this as a relative altimeter that counts a floor with a 10 ft continuous increase in elevation. If Fitbit changed the way they are going to count floors, then no one will know until the device is released, the manual is released, the Help site is changed, or someone has experience with it. Any internal information is covered by a non-disclosure agreement.

Floor count is ridiculously inaccurate anyway so who knows what it counts.

It is ridiculously inaccurate on Versa3/sense only after an update. And Fitbit never bothered to fix it.

Also the same could be said for the HR sensor. This time they even acknowledged the issue but admitted that they didn't plan to fix it. At this point a recall should have been initiated, and full refunds offered to all Sense users.
May I also ask why this board is completely absent of any Mods answering the important user questions? I guess this is an indication of the support users will receive once they have given their money over, non existent.

Fitbit has always used the altimeter for floor detection.
For it to be useful during hikes, wo of require calibration before every hike.
Fitbit used the GPS for altitude during recorded exercises
