When I press the button from the main screen to see and select an app the sense 2 automatically brings up Alexa giving me no way to access Google Maps.

Hello and welcome back to the forums, @bpetillo.
Thanks for letting me know your situation when trying to open an app bringing up Alexa on your Sense 2.
Can you confirm your cellphone model and system version, please? Also, I recommend you to restart your Sense 2, please. Let me know how it goes after this.

Good day!
To clarify, are you saying that when you do a regular press (not a long press) from your watch's main screen it opens Alexa? I have mine set to open Alexa on a long press. If you click that button for any length of time, it registers as a long press. Try a very quick press (if you haven't already) and see if it opens Alexa.
You could also change the long press function to Maps if that works better for you.
I hope this helps.
