Can’t add Sense 2 to FitBit app oh iPhone X

My friend gave me her old Sense 2 as she’s gotten a newer version and I’ve been trying to add it as a device to my phone (iPhone X, iOS 16) but it won’t let me. As soon as it prompts me to enter the 4 digit code it immediately gives a message saying there been an error and to try again. She has removed it as a device from her Fitbit app already.

 

I’ve tried restarting my phone, factory reset the Sense 2, reconnected it to Bluetooth, turned Bluetooth off and back on, tried with Wifi and then with mobile data, deleted and re-downloaded the fitbit app, had both my phone and Sense 2 on charge, but nothing works. I’ve checked and my phone is definitely compatible with the Fitbit and Sense 2.

 

 What else can I try?

Hi, @SunsetRunner! The only other suggestion I have is to have your friend check her phone and see if she can forget the device from her Bluetooth settings.
