Can't pair my Sense 2

I just got this Sense Two and have been trying to set it up properly. I downloaded the fitbit app and paired the Sense to my phone. The pairing worked, and I can see it under Bluetooth, but when I try to connect it says "app needed to use this device"

If I'm in the fit it app itself it says the watch is synced, but it still isn't connected. Not sure what to do next

Hi there, @mdc222. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense 2 and for your time in trying to troubleshoot it. @Guy_ Thank you so much for your help!

In order to solve this issue, please try the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Sense 2 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Sense 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.

If you can't get started with your Sense 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @mdc222 - Are you sure to have set it up with the phone Fitbit app, click profile photo and " + Set up a Device" if you haven't done that. How do I set up my Fitbit device?

If it shows the Sense 2 in that section do I still need to click set up a device?

Before trying to setup, I would remove tge Sense 2 from the Bluetooth. You should not have been able to pair/connect the Sense 2, or any Fitbit that way. The Fitbit does this pairing to the phones Bluetooth.
