Does Sense 2 record skin temp during daytime sleep?

I’d like to know if the Sense 2 is able to pick up temperatures during SLEEP AT DAYTIME.

I work a lot of nightshifts so my biggest amount of sleep is during the day.

In the past with my previous device + premium account I had very detailed readings of my respiratory rate and heart rate variability during sleep, BUT that only worked during sleep at nighttime, not during sleep at daytime.

For the same reason I’d like to know if temperature readings also work specifically during sleep at daytime. Otherwise it is no use for me to buy a tracker with that feature.

Asking this because I mainly use my tracker for reproductive health reasons.

Hi @DBee8 - the watch takes skin temperature once a minute. However if the sleep duration is not long enough the Fitbit App won't provide the information. It may be that the Fitbit App isn't geared to handling that information during the day.

More information here How can Fitbit help me track my temperature?

Hello @DBee8 and welcome to the Community.  I'm going to ask a moderator to help answer your question.  The Health Metrics Help article casually mentions sleep at night, but doesn't address night shift workers specifically.

I have some additional information if this works out for you.  Health Metrics were a Premium feature when they were first released.  No more.  They are free to all users.

@DBee8 Welcome to the community forums. @Guy_ and @LZeeW Thanks for your help and heads up!

@DBee8 Thanks for sharing those details, as well as your experience with Fitbit. Let me explain that our Fitbit devices will generate health metrics only when sleeping during the night, and this includes skin temperature values. I understand you work night shifts regularly and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We're constantly working to improve our features and make sure they meet the needs of our members. For this reason, I'd encourage you to share this idea in the Product Feedback board so our developers can take it into consideration.
