I am posting this in case it helps others. I kept getting notifications in the Fitbit app that an installation was unsuccessful, and it will try again later. My device had the latest firmware, and I had not installed any new watch faces. I wrote it off as a glitch.
Then, I noticed the ECG app was not installed on my Sense 2. It would give me the error I spoke of above any time it would attempt to install. I read through this forum and tried various suggestions as I am in the United States and the ECG function is allowed here.
I then realized that a run a VPN on my phone, and that may interfering with the installation. I set the Fitbit app to bypass the VPN and was able to install the ECG app to my device. Once I did that, I was able to set the function up and use it without an issue.
For reference, I am using a Fitbit Sense 2 with version 194.86 as of this post. The Fitbit app is version is 4.04.2.11 as of this post. My phone is a Pixel 6a with Android 14, December 2023 patch as of this post.
I hope this is of help.
