What wearables does the Android Authority team use every day? (2022 Edition)
From Apple to Samsung and beyond, here's what we wear on our wrists every day. So we asked Android Authority team members about the wearables they regularly use. A total of 18 team members took part in our poll, noting the wearable they’re currently using, their likes/dislikes, and giving it a score out of 10.

The results as both individual models and as brands
1. Samsung
2. Apple
3. Fitbit and Garmin tied for third.

 

Other takeaways:

  • Praise for the Sense 1 and nothing good to say about the Sense 2 except it is a good fitness tracker.
  • The Sense 2 doesn’t feel like a huge step up from the Versa 2, and surprisingly lacks some useful features, like music controls and on-device clock face switching too.
  • The lowest rating was bestowed upon the Fitbit Sense 2 and Galaxy Watch 4
  • Three polled team members said they wouldn’t recommend their current wearables. (Fitbit Sense 2), (Pixel Watch), (Samsung Gear Sport).
  • Only one of these watches doesn’t offer user-accessible storage. That’s the Fitbit Sense 2, which is a bizarre omission when the first-gen model offered storage for music and more.

My Opinion

In addition it is by now obvious that the promised apps are not coming. Here is a comparison of the original advertisement and the changed, modified one. See if you can spot the difference.

Very disappointed that the advert is changed only then. Quite sure that we will not get 3rd party app support back from corporate like how John Leonard didnt get his jet…

Even though on their present website you will not have the part about the availability of apps, using one of the reputable services that save websites past postings in a cache you can find the original text part of their preorder posting of the Sense 2 starting around August 30th.

Seems pretty clear now.

 

So Fitbit, lets make something else clear.

 

In 7 years, I have owned 5 different devices and purchased 7 (2 were bought for others).

 

I will NEVER purchase from fitbit, EVER again. I will do my level best to convince everyone I know to not purchase from fitbit. I wish there was a way to direct this at fitbit, as we know they have zero involvement with these support forums.
