Since last Tuesday my fit bit sense 2 has stoped recording my sleep and heart rate at night properly. I often wake up in the night and before it would record that but carry on the sleep recording now it just stops. I’ve tried restarting, re booting, wrist placement, updates but nothing works and the help chat was useless, said I would hear from them but never did 🤬
anyone else have this issue/ know how to fix ?

Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Sense 2.
In order to get better sleep tracking results, setting up a sleep goal and a sleep schedule often does the trick. To see how to do that please have a look at 'How do I set or change my sleep goal in the Fitbit app?' and 'How do I set a sleep schedule in the Fitbit app?' following the link below:

Mine has been doing exqy the same. Typically only records about 3.5 hours then stops.

Thanks but sleep schedule done. I’ve had it for over a year and was fine until last Tuesday when it stopped. I’ve tried everything and it still dosnt work.
fit bit don’t seem to care and I’m at a loss why it’s all of a sudden stopped working

Have there been any updates either for your Sense 2 or your Fitbit App since last Monday?

The app recently updated but was a few week s ago, no other updates

I have the same problem. Two days ago my Sense2 stopped saving/sending heart rate or sleep data to the app on my phone. The 24 hour helpline wasn't answered by anyone. The "chat" conversation simply said someone would contact me by email. Hasn't happened yet. I paid for the premium subscription - shouldn't have wasted my money.

I’m still waiting for someone to contact me by email too. I did chat to someone on the chat though who couldn’t help but she did say people have reported it as a problem.
mine seems to stop recording my heart rate at night which then in turn stops the sleep recording. It’s so random that it’s just started to happen, I’ve don’t nothing differently.
had issues with last fit bit and thought I would give it another go but think Garmins are much better

I've been using fitbit watches for some years and never had a problem until now. I wonder whether something went wrong when Google took over fitbit?

Never had an issue until this started happening. Hopped on chat (AI I am assuming) and I did a restart of my Sense. Will see if it continues to happen but I was given a case number to follow up with if the reset didn't work. Fingers crossed.

I'm having the same issue except mine started on Friday, 10/27. It's very frustrating in that it now is only tracking steps and water.
Fitbit, when will this be resolved?

Mine will track everything during the day but not might, tried everyone and nothing fixes it.

I’m wondering the same thing. Fitbit support has always been very helpful but this is beyond them I think. Either the change to google or the latest update has created issues.

@LuluMT @Kdukeok @Ccarey29 @P17140 Hi. I have exactly the same thing. Mine started last week Tuesday after I installed v4.02 of the IOS App. I have 3-4 hour gaps every night now in heart rate data which affects Sleep data and all associated daily metrics which are in the paid subscription. So I’m basically paying for features that are no longer available on my sense 2. I tried the help desk and did everything they said including factory reset but so far nothing has worked. I’m just really hoping someone is working on this. It would be nice to get an official update from Fitbit as I just want everything back to the way it was.

Mine is now working. It's so strange. All I did was shut down my watch, leave it off for a while, and then left it on the charger for a long time even though it was charged. Not sure if this will help anyone but want to make sure I state it's now working. Good luck everyone!

Oh, that’s brilliant to hear of a fixed issue!
I have tried a few suggestions but they were not sense 2 devices and it didn’t work for me but I will try yours now. I’ll let you know! Thank you again and fingers crossed!

Customer service just got back to me and told me to do a factory reset on the device in settings...
On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app then About then Factory Reset.
After that, set up the device using these steps:
In your Fitbit app, tap the device icon that is located on the upper left corner of your screen.
Tap Set Up a Device or add a device.
Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
Then, observe to see if the issue continues.

Hi @Kdukeok I followed the same steps you outlined above and….. yes! It worked for me too!! I’m going to see how it goes over the coming days but today is a great start. Sleep data and Heart data is there from overnight last night. Now, the question is whether to update the App to v4.03 which is in the App Store, I’m worried in case that update undoes anything. I thinking I’ll just pass on that and enjoy what I have for now. Thanks again

Just an update, issue still not fixed but called fit bit help line and they’re sending me a replacement. Seems to be an issue that’s in fixable.

@Saz104 That’s great news that you will be getting a replacement. Will you post again to let us know if that fixes the issue? Replacement may be an option for other Sense 2 users with the same problem.
