I have had numerous circumstances where the premium functions either do not work at all or they work quite randomly. I suspect that there is data corruption somewhere between the Fitbit, the Fitbit app and the Fitbit servers when adding a new Fitbit without deleting an old Fitbit. (who reads the Fitbit White Paper that says that is no longer a proper procedure?)
Anyway, I did a Data Export (Go to Fitbit.com, log on to your account, go to Dashboard, click on the gear, then settings, then Export Data and follow the instructions. The instructions tend to vary whether or not you have migrated your Fitbit account to a Google account.) The resulting download is a zipped file that can contain 1000's of files (depending on how long you have had an account).
After scouring these files for a while, I found a curious attribute in the Devices file in the Paired Devices. folder. The attribute "enabled" is set to "false". Is there a way to change the "false" to "true"? Could this be the reason there are so many posts about functions that don't work?
