I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

For me, not only is it across all entries, all meals, all types of foods (whether recent, new, general foods), but- this is what I observe: I can log in a few foods. I logged yesterday’s lunch then exited the app quickly. When I logged back in the entire lunch appeared at first, then I watched the app delete all foods and return me back to zero. Only for yesterday. Everything logged before yesterday is intact.

I cannot log any food today either. It won't update calories. When I leave the app and come back, it saves nothing I tried to log. I have done all the following and it still won't log food:
Was there an update? If yes, it broke this functionality and that is upsetting!

Both my wife and I are having the same issue.
Last thing it logged was on the morning of December 4th, but since the lunch time everything disappears after logging.
Both on android, all updates complete. Done allmof the force close, clear cache, phone restart, log out and back in etc. Nothing has worked. It doesn't matter how you input the food either or for what meal, or what foods or even quick calories, as everything disappears?!

I am having the same issue. Everytime I log something it disappears.
I am using an android and it appears to be any meal I log (breakfast/evening snack etc)

Same issue. Android. Using the + icon. Happens with every meal, both custom and listed. Tried logging out, rebooting, etc. Nothing worked.

I'm not going to repeat the same answers as others, because mine are the same. No food, however added, has been recorded in the app. Adding a food item briefly appears to indicate that it has been recorded, but tapping that food items returns the message "An unknown error has occurred".
As others have noted, this is extremely frustrating. I use this to stay disciplined in my calorie intake, and relying on secondary methods as a backup to add to fitbit later whenever it deigns to resolve the issue is far from ideal and likely to contribute negatively to good habit maintenance. Presumably there will be no deduction in Fitbit Premium fees to reflect the outage of the service we are paying Google handsomely for (!)

Gabi, I don't think this is related to your recent connection to Health Connect. I've had fitbit connected to HC for over a year and was able to log food just fine up until lunchtime GMT yesterday. When I tried adding more items around 9pm GMT I was unable to. No change to any settings in between. This is infuriating.

Happens to me as well.
- Homepage > Food > "+" method
- breakfast allows 5 items to log briefly, then wipes. Adding a morning snack after logging the 5 breakfast items causes a wipe. Logging one Lunch item causes a wipe. Logging more than 2 dinner items causes a wipe.
- does not appear to be a correlation between it happening to custom/preloaded foods, all items eventually seem to cause a wipe.

Can't enter more than one food item. If I try to add another item to breakfast, lunch or dinner, it replaces the previous entry. This has never happened in the 5 years owning the Inspire Fitbit!

Perhaps it is, but when we have spent time and effort following all the usual troubleshooting tips at the same time there is a known issue it is infuriating to know the time has been wasted when Google/Fitbit could have easily communicated the outage to users trying to log their food rather than waste what must amount to thousands of collective hours trying to resolve it individually. For those of us with Fitbit Premium, we are paying for this service, and it is not unreasonable to receive that service in return for our payments.

You can find the food, it tries to add the food then it seems to record it but then disappears when you come out of it or try to add another item
This happens with every meal and every fod type and does not matter if its a listed item or one that's been created by myself.
Im using Samsung android system.
It was working in the uk until about 4/5pm then the problem developed.

Seems to be both using the + AND from the food page.
Seems that it happens for every meal, but they're well be a random single entry that doesn't delete immediately. Then when I make another entry (for any meal), they both delete.
I haven't tried with custom foods, only using the database. But it happens for both barcode lookups and typed searches.
I'm on an Android device.
