I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

This is still not working. I've tried adding under different headings and all the entries disappear no matter which one is selected. Then tried just a lump some of calories and that wouldn't stay either. I have tried all the steps to reboot yesterday and this morning and still not working correctly. I log in the app on an Android. This worked yesterday morning, but hasn't worked properly since yesterday afternoon.

Hello!
For me, the issue began around noon EST.
My Fitbit Sense syncs with my Android phone, and is doing everthing correctly except logging food.
This is happening with all types of food (custom and searched) as well as quick calories in the Android app, and it happens for all mealtimes.
In the Android app, the food appears to log, and then when I go back to the main app screen and back into the Food section, the items are gone.
I also log food through a website that connects to Fitbit's servers using the API, and that's the only place I actually get an 400 Server error when my entries aren't accepted. This leads me to believe that the issue is server-side, rather than with the app.
Hope this helps!

1. It doesn't work when I am in the food site. Right when I chose the amount of food, I click on "log in". I see it logged, but after that logged food disappears and calories count zero again.
2. With every meal for me since yesterday evening
3. Custom food included
4. I use google pixel 8
Please help with this issue. It helps me a lot with my weight and nutritional goals, I use it everyday.
Best regards

Time for everyone to switch to something more reliable than Google Fitbit. I have heard good things about Garmin health trackers. Anyone have any first hand experience with Garmin?

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app? Both
Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?
Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base? All meals since 10am pst
Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad? iOS iPhone

It happens with the (+) on dashboard and actual food log page, applies to all meal/snack times, affects database foods (haven’t tried it with custom foods yet).
It started 12/04/25 when trying to log lunch. Breakfast saved just fine but after that it quit. I’m using iOS on iPhone. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app this morning (12/05), but it did not solve the issue.

@TheNeilHaley my daughter has a Garmin Jnr and it seems pretty good. I think my mum has a Garmin as well

Mine has been having this issue since yesterday. Anything I added before yesterday afternoon is still showing (like I had added my breakfast and lunch for today a few days ago when I meal prepped and that is still showing). Anything I try to add starting yesterday will disappear as soon as I add it. Doesn’t matter when I put it (anytime, breakfast, snack, dinner, etc.) I am using the app on my IOS (iPhone). I tried to update my Fitbit, logged out and logged back in, restarted my phone, etc.

This is happening whenever I try to add any food options on the app.
I am using an android and it doesn't matter which meal I label it as, after pressing the plus symbol and adding the food it disappears within 2-10 seconds.

Here are two alternatives for food/calorie tracking. Have not started to use them myself yet.
Everyone post other suggestions. We need something better than the trash that Google has been forcing on us.

Does anyone know if they are going to fix the logging food issue? We pay for the service and I really rely on it

Food input briefly appears in app and on graph, then is auto deleted - creating a great calorie deficit!
This happens with every meal and affects all food categories, custom, listed, previously created.
Using Android since 2018. Issue started a few days ago and renders the app affectively useless.

Same here. Did exact same thing as you and no dice.

Happens with food in the database, and custom food. Stays for a second or 2 then deletes out.

Happens when logging from the + in the app and from the app home quick add option (when you hold the app icon log options show, not sure what it's called).
Food in the database. Choose from recent and when typed or barcode is scanned.
Able to see it but then it disappears
This is on iOS and gapping to me and my husband.
We have tried the standard restart of the app and phones.

I'm using the Google pixel watch and still have the same issue. Very annoying when the app is broken all the time. Isn't this what the app was designed for to help track food and exercise? They should put a little more into maintaining it than working to fix it when broken all the time.
