I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

Yes, this seems to be an issue with many people. See another group:  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Food-tracker-not-working/m-p/5798935#M183005

Same thing happening with me.  Tried several times today.  Even uninstalled and reinstalled the app,  and restarted.  So frustrating!!

Pixel user here. My breakfast and lunch logs are still there, but I can't enter dinner. It lets me enter one food, then it disappears and is replaced by the next food I enter. I have already tried restarting my Fitbit and phone to no avail, along with synching and closing/reopening the app.

Same on my Pixel Pro 10 XL. This just started today. I've tried everything. Force stop. Empty cache. Uninstall-Reinstall. Reboot phone. I've tried each several times. It still doesn't work. I can enter food. It looks like it works, but when I go back to enter something else, everything entered previously is gone.

It just started for me when I added entries for today.  I also added a few entries for yesterday too.  I watched as I added an entry and it deleted one item already added!  What is going on, is the space limited for only so many entries.  I have a Versa 3 and use app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max

Mine isn't working either.  I can't put more than one food item in a time slot.  It just replaces the prior item in that slot.  Fitbit please FIX this ASAP!!!!

I'm having the same issues and using an android phone. Can't log any food without it disappearing. My steps, weight, water and kcals out are all fine. Everything is fine apart from the most important part of the app for me. I'm steadily losing patience with fitbit, as all I want is a reliable watch and app to help me with my fitness journey.

I was just logging breakfast.  I scanned and searched and both are not working.  I had multiple lines and all of them disappeared within 5-10 seconds.  I’ve tried adding to lunch with the same results.  I went to frequent and latest, but the same thing happens.

It is all foods, built in or custom. from the + or the food site, or the API. All meals. Maybe this will help from an API request:

Jeb218_0-1764887049227.png

Where the request was:

{'foodId': 816547270, 'mealTypeId': 2, 'unitId': 349, 'amount': 2.0, 'date': 'community.fitbit.com would not let me put the date here for some reason'}

Also note, that the exact same request from the API worked yesterday.

so clearly the extra _food_id is coming from the fitbit side after you receive the payload

This is happening with I use the + to add a food, and when I type in the search, and when I select from the Frequent and Recent lists. It will allow to select a food, then add it, but then it with either eventually vanish, or disappear when I try to add another food. So, it looks like I've had one food today and that's it. I had restarted the app and phone, cleared the app cache, logged out of the app....all the suggestions. This is happening for all my meals and snacks. It's like it can't save more than one thing. I've even tried re-syncing.

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?

In the Fitbit app, select Today, then scrolldown to Food, select the icon. In the dashboard press +. You can enter text to find a food, or select one from the Frequent or Recent list. adjust the portion size and press the LOG THIS button. It will appear the food was logged for the selected meal. Repeat using another food. It will appear that this second food was logged, and the previous item entered is gone. Upon exiting the food dashboard and re-entering, you will find neither food items were actually recorded.

Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?

Appears to be all meals, but I did not test all 6 meal/snack possibilities.

Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?

I do not use custom food, so no idea.

Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?

Android

Well it's not just Google/Pixel. People with iPhones have said they're having the same issue.

Same details and process for both my wife's phone and mine. Both Android and different makes.

Since there hasn't been a new app, and hit all of us it must be API side. Can't get more than one entry to stay, and overwrites the previous.
