Fitbit sense 2 no longer accessing location for walks when they are started deliberately or detected

Over the past few days my Fitbit sense 2 has stopped recording my walks by recognising my location and tracking.  I've checked all permissions which are correct, restarted my phone and restarted my watch but nothing is working.  Don't want to start reinstalling apps or resetting the watch but not sure what else to do.

Mine too. It was tracking, then cut out and lost a whole mile. I noticed it but could only start over again, then lost it again at .5 miles. Very frustrating. This will be my last fitbit. My map looks like I dropped into the woods from space.

I've had fitbit for 9 years but google has ruined it and continues to screw it up.  So, sadly, I am actively seeking an alternative. There is no discount coupon that will change my mind.
