Frustrations with Sense 2

I have loved Fitbit for many years. I have bought them for family and friends to keep up with tracking their health.

I have the Sense 2. For a few months I have been noticing issues with most the tracking. The flights of stairs is unattainable. My house is flat, 1 story with no change in the elevation. I have been told numerous times from Fitbit this is a "known issue." I spent 2 days on the chat and phone with 3 different people to get different answers and just to hear the response, "it is a know issue?" I paid $300 for this in Dec 2022. I bought the warranty and the extended warranty.

I survived 2 heart attacks at 25 and 28, hip replacement at 32 and now I lost 80 pounds in the last 2 years. I'm 43 now and am about changing my life. The answer that it's a know issue since Jan is not working with me. I have done everything I can to get the ECG fixed, the heart rate, stairs, sleep and the display that never stays on. This is what the warranty is for, correct?

Just frustrated. Any one else had/have this issue. Not happy after a decade of owning these products.

Hi @jbaugnet ,

are you saying none of these works? ECG, Heart Rate, Stairs, Sleep, and Display Always on"? If that is the case your warranty should kick in!

I am overall content with my Sense 2, but do I get Sleep Stats 7 days a week? No - One week it can be 7, next week it can be 5 or 6. I do not consider it to be a malfunction. It is most likely I who have placed it too high, or too low on my wrist, or the wrist band has not been tight enough. Then light can slip in between Sense 2 and my skin,. Sense uses light to detect changes in the bloodstream, other light sources interferes with the sensors.

For me HR works 95% of the time - again it is probably my own fault when readings are offf.
Always on display - Have you tried to switch clock face to one designed for "Always On Display"?

Oh - Stairs.... My old first gen. Sense - it never worked. Sense 2 - Stairs worked from I bought it October 22. until June 30.th - Since then I have climbedI height meters = Himalaya every week😂 Well Done by me😊 I have basically given up - and come to the conclusion it is not very important. For the record - The algorithm that calculates calorie consumption does not use elevation. . The increased work load is measured by an elevated HR.

And Congratulations! Losing 80 pounds is well done! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for responding! I love my Sense 2 until recently. I was ok for overlooking all the bugs and updates. I had the Versa 2 before. I loved both, but Sense 2 has been above and beyond better. BUT with a combination of all issues; the Versa 2 is better now in my opinion.

It has been for the past few months having many hiccups. I'm ok with the sleep thing, and have given up hope on ECG. HR has been off and on, then not matching manual or pulse oximeter I have.

But there are the above mentioned that when all together lead to an unsatisfied client. I would even take my versa 2 back. I refuse to go buy a new Fitbit just to have "somewhat" correct or consistent stats.

Thanks for listening. Just frustrating when you don't have money to throw down on a new one or to be ok with just tracking at times correctly.

Thanks

You have a non functioning device! My experience with Fitbit support is that I have received good help when I have reached out to them through Messenger. I guess there are different teams supporting different channels..

I do not know how extended warranty works. Is it handled by a third part company? If Fitbit doesn't come around and help you, maybe you can contact them?
