Heart rate accuracy during sitting/standing

I heard that the heart rate isn't all that accurate during exercise. How is it with just normal walking? Or just sitting around or standing without movement? I upgraded from a charge.. wondering if the pure pulse 2.0 is better than the one in the charge where it was the basic one. Thanks

Walking really depends. I see times it is close, other times it is 100% off (for example actual walking HR 77 and FitBit showing 153). It will vary depending on motion (Power walk motion gets worse results than standard walk motion). As far as sitting it is not bad. Resting HR seems to be pretty solid.
