My husband manages our family group. We use our nest and calendar etc. But since I am just a parent, I can't move my (and my daughters) Fitbit account. We tried having him create a Fitbit account, and he was able to move his to google, but we are not linked to his fitbit account I guess, so it didn't solve my problem. Support says I just have to either leave my family group (no) and move my acct which will create a new family group (no). Or he makes me family manager. We can't figure out how to do that. So it just feels like there is no viable solution and either I delete my account and start a new one with a new email and lose all my data.... Or not migrate and lose functionality. I'm annoyed. Did anyone else experience this and find a solution?

It sounds to me as if there is some confusion here between a Google Family Group (which uses your nest and calendar etc) and a Fitbit Family Account. The Fitbit Family account existed before Google owned Fitbit. A Fitbit Family Account and a Google Family Group are not the same. If you and your children Fitbit accounts are not linked to his, it sounds like you have a separate Fitbit Family Account. Is your husband also the main “guardian” of that? I am guessing not, as your post suggests that he only just created a Fitbit account. Does your husband also have a Fitbit? If so has he always managed it with a Google account?
I am not totally familiar with the details, so forgive me if I am little confused, but it sounds to me like your husband needs first to add each child to the Google family group. He will first need to create a child Google account for each child (with birthday) and then link their Fitbits to the Google Family Group. Their history still should be there.
However, only the Ace LTE can be connected Google Family Group account. It seems that other child devices cannot be part of a Google Family Group.
If this doesn’t help (or doesn’t make sense) I feel confident that someone will be able to help you, but we might need a little more information, including, if possible some screen shots of your Fitbit app showing your Fitbit family account.
Please do post again if you can provide any further information. I feel hopeful that there is a solution, but I am not sure we have yet got to the bottom of the problem!
