Transferring to google account is horrendous. When I tried the "it will only take a few minutes to transfer your account"... ha. I have spent countless hrs trying to transfer my fitbit app data to google it would tell me I already have an existing account. OK.. So I log in using the google account and there is no data. I can not find a way to transfer my fitbit history to the google account. Then when I go back to the fitbit log in, I have to repair my phone and sense 2. So the "lets transfer your account" process comes to a hault when it sees I have an existing google acct attached to my fitbit app. It lets me log into to a blank program.
Is there a very detailed tutorial that can walk me through transferring my existing fitbit data when I log in with my existing google ID.
thank you everyone.

Hi @Athletewannabe, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
Let me help you with the issues you are finding while attempting to migrate your Fitbit account to your google's.
In fact it should be a brief process to migrate your Fitbit account. However, if you have a Google account in which you have already migrated a Fitbit account, you'll receive a message similar to the one you are getting.
By following the instructions in the video "How to move Fitbit to a Google Account" that you can find in our help article How to move a Fitbit Account to a Google Account, you'll have the ability to migrate a Fitbit account that hasn't been migrated yet, to a google account that has not yet a Fitbit account linked.
If you are not sure what's happening, i suggest that you check if you have another gmail account that you haven't used lately.
Another suggestion is to find the email address associated to your Firbit account by following the instructions below:
With this info, maybe you can figure out the other gmail address you have.

Thank you David. Before your reply I decided to create a new google account just for the fitbit. Once I did that, it was easy. Couple of comments on your instructions as FYI:
1. When I clicked on the hyperlink below. It took me to different utube instructions, none of which were how to move the account over. So I never was able to see the instructions- not that it matters any more. I was curious to see what I was doing wrong.

2. Regarding the latter half of your instructions .. I do know what google account my fitbit was assigned to. I was able to log in but there was no way to transfer the data over to the existing google account. I was on the phone with customer service and they sent me to a higher tier tech and they couldn't help me migrate the data. They gave up trying to help me and just instructed me to set up a brand new acct... Now when I sign out, and go to sign in, I still have the choice to log into fitbit, my main google acct or the new one. I just select the new email and I am able to see my historical data...
3. I am curious.. in the today tab when I am now in the google app I do not see a settings/gear icon. I only see the icon that shows a rectangle with a small circle & %battery life on the upper left. When I open that I do not see acct settings, Just see my devices. On the upper right is the notification icon and the "my profile" icon. When I open that there is only "fitbit settings" and that doesn't open an option to change email...
thanks again for your help.
