How do you track Kayak and paddling?

I want the gps to track my distance too

So do you use cycling? Walking?

also this would be a great add in the option activities!

thank you in advance

My Sense 2 has a Kayaking option in the Exercise App on-wrist with GPS turned on by default.

Not to be rude, but assuming you know the Exercise App on the watch, right, where you just scroll right from main clock face, then see probably 3 options at top, then 'all'; tap 'all', then other exercises - explore, and scroll down through list of I think 40 options.  If don't see it, make sure phone app doesn't show 'update' available.

Oh no not rude at all ☺️
my app is updated ,but when I tap all exercises I see about 15 other exercises but not 40 like you say

and unfortunately no kayaking or rollerblading

thank you again for the replies

I meant a firmware update to the Sense 2, not the phone app updated.  The additional exercise options came in a firmware update.  I suspect you are not on the latest firmware; it came quite a while ago so it certainly would have come to everyone by now.  See this post from nearly 2 years ago listing the 40 exercise options.

Your Sense 2 should be firmware version 210.26

I resolved the mystery

but available the Sense 2 from 2022

So you have been looking at the Sense all this time instead of the Sense 2?  That would certainly explain it.

Actually there are probably options on the Sense that work just as well also. Does it have Outdoor Workout?  All these different exercise labels really don't matter, except maybe as far as which stats they show in the workout summary, and whether or not miles get added to daily mileage.  Many people think there is some special formula for calories burned for each category, but not so.  They are all just based on heart rate.  The label also just helps your history to keep track of what you were doing.

Yes exactly

My bad 🤦🏼‍:female_sign:
the Sense 2 came out not long after I bought my Sense , so I tought  maybe it would have been upgraded with the new exercises and I missed it

Looks like they tend to remove options instead of adding these days

not long ago ,I was able at least to edit   the name of my  workouts  for kayaking or rollerblading in the app but not anymore …

I have the outdoor workout ,it is a great idea , I will try it! And it has GPS which is what I need

I used to track rollerblading with cycling and kayaking with walking ,but you are right ,the tracking is based on the heart rate but it is just nice to have the category to remember what I did on what day when in the app

thank you again

hope my English is not too bad it is not my first language 😉
