Lock screen for work out

I wondering can you lock the screen during the weights activity on the fitbit sense 2. I didn't see the option on the versa 3. It's most annoying thing to see your work out have stop tracking on the watch. And if the sense 2 does have that feature it's a easy pass for me.

Hi @Alabama-dip  - it may not be necessary because it has a physical button on the sense 2, whereas the Versa 3 was prone to accidental button press.

@Alabama-dip manual doesn't seem to mention anything like that and water lock (which may be use that way) is only available during Swim (I think, only Charge 5 provides that feature systen-wide).

@Guy_ this depends on buttons. I had that issue with Ionic despite physical buttons. Doing pushups, riding bike or climbing could press physical button. If Sense 2 provides little resistance (like Ionic) then it may be the problem. On the other hand, the problem will be mostly visible to people who decide wearing Sense 2 on right wrist (button will face the wrist). Physical buttons are far better than that abomination in Sense and Versa 3 but they won't solve everything. One thing they could solve however is the touch lock (long press could simply unlock the screen/touch events like it's done in Galaxy Watch 5).

@t.parker- one solution for accidental button press is to rotate the screen for left handed people wearing the watch on the right arm.

I wonder if Fitbit implemented the requested watch face rotation [flip screen] on the Sense and Versa 4?

@Guy_ I doubt they implemented anything that users asked for 🙂

It may happen to press the button even if it faces away from the wrist. It depends how skinny or not the person is (how much body is on the side of button). With Ionic, that never happened to me (I have almost no fat on forearms) but that have been reported in the past. The buttons should require more force to press so soft body would just wrap around. But even Garmin or Suunto (my old Spartan watch buttons required lots of point pressure) come with button and screen lock features. On Fenix 7 I locked touch permanently (just don't like touch screen on watches and 5 buttons is more than enough). See that Fitbit implemented such lock only for Charge 5 (or maybe Luxe, or both? I'm not sure). It's a water lock but it's system wide and it is really all you need to disable touch screen.
