@Andy1955   This makes a lot more sense.  If you are using GPS in your Walk shortcut, then you need to turn it off.  Short press the button to go to your Exercise app, then choose Walk.  Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen.  Swipe up to GPS and toggle it to Off.

Sorry about misunderstanding your question.

Hello @Andy1955 and welcome to the Community.  How are you trying to track the ship's speed?

Hi @Andy1955 - did you start an exercise such as bike with GPS on perhaps?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Andy1955. Thank you for sharing your Sense 2 query.

Your watch won't measure your speed.

Thank you for your assistance @LZeeW@Guy_

@AndreaFitbit   I disagree with your statement that you can't measure a ship's speed using the Sense GPS.  GPS tracking is GPS tracking.  Fitbit's Outdoor Workout shortcut was designed for things like kayaking.  Think of being on a ship as being in a very large kayak, without the rowing part.  Both Outdoor Workout and Bike report speed.  All step based activities report pace.

Keep in mind that Fitbit reports speed in mph or kph, depending on the settings.  A ship's speed is measured in knots.  A reasonable cruise ship speed is 20 knots, which is 23 mph or 37 kph.

I’m not tracking ships speed, but because the ship is traveling at 40km/hr. My walking speed is not being recorded properly

@Andy1955  - stand still to get the ship speed then deduct or add to your walking speed depending on which way you are walking. This assumes it is traveling at a constant speed and direction.

Your watch uses GPS which will record the ship's speed. You can also turn off the GPS and it may give you an approximate result.
