Mine always go bad right after the warranty expires.  Stupid me I started buying new ones on Black Friday as a preemptive measure!

Mine did the same thing and now the clasp for the band isn’t working and the wristband is falling off all tge time. It actually fell off while I was golfing, I didn’t realize it, and luckily, it was found. I’ve just been using the watch without the metal pieces but I believe it is used in the premium features-ECG? My watch is outside of the warranty. I might just use silicone to glue a “forever” strap on.

Just stopping by to say this happened to me too. Both of mine fell off. Luckily, I noticed when one of them fell off so I could glue it back on. My watch was purchased in 2023 so the warranty has expired. Is there any way to get a replacement metal strip?

Make sure you are registered as a Google Fitbit account and go to help- customer service - they may replace it.
There  is a place called Joes in Washington State that sells a replacement back - we peeled off the metal strips off of a new back - and Joes sells a glue.  But only if you are technically proficient -

One of mine recently came off as well. How do you contact support? The site just keeps sending me in loops back to this post.

Support was no help to me. They denied any warranty claim or assistance.
I had to purchase replacement metal strips and adhesive offline. Clearly
this is a MASSIVE manufacturing defect and so disappointed that Google
doesn't stand behind the Fitbit brand any longer, or their own reputation.

I am having the same problem with looping around and unable to contact customer service about the same problem with metal falling off.

Well to update... the new one last 30 days and then one of the plates fell off of it too. No showers, no swimming. The worst it has had to deal with is being worn outside in 90+ F degree heat for.

Another replacement on the way.
