New sense 2 but no google

I have just received a sense 2 and the box shows "by Google" and online there are photos of an agenda, Spotify etc. Why doesn't my watch come with any of this? 

I'm just finding out that what's advertised is not actually on the watch? Have you missold this product?

Hi @Randab - are you able to share the photos or links to Agenda, Spotify etc.?

For now it is documented that no Music, Google Assistant or 3rd party apps are available on a Sense 2.

@Randab it looks to me as of you have seen Sense promo materials, not Sense 2. Especially if you have seen Spotify.

Yep, and I spoke to Fitbit support who tried to guide me to install Spotify then realised it couldn't happen. I asked why the software is still Alexa when the box says Google and he said "please wait for future updates" so I returned it today. I'm really surprised their latest watch is basic.

I might just get the first sense as it comes with more supporting apps or even the pixel watch which looks as though they are investing more software time in.

I understand is a "basic" smartwatch, it gets a long battery life and i think is normal not to have the same as others like samsung or pixel watch, but one thing I don't understand is why being google they didn't released this with google assistant, music control and other functions

@vicape92 I don't really agree with this description.

We can say that the original Sense achieved the same great battery life and was much closer to being a full fledged smart watch. So I certainly wouldn't say that it should be expected to have missing features. I think most would expect it to at least have what it's predecessor had?

Yes agreed. I've seen quite a few forums where people have been stumped by this as well as returned their sense 2 for the original one. 

I'm not sure whether to wait and see what comes out this year ?

I will wait to see new updates, but if they dont add more functionalities will be my last time buying fitbit

That's a shame, I like the square face more than the Google pixel watch. 

I've ordered the sense original which will do well for a while. The sense2 was quite unresponsive tbh and the added feature of the monitor was glitchy. I'm glad I returned it.

I don't get why Alexa works just fine, but they removed google assistant and none of the google apps actually work... this isn't an Amazon product, is it??

No, Amazon, just know how to integrate products. Google is a bumbling mess. Just look at all the good products they have scuttled because they didn't know how to integrate them properly.
