Not recording activity after update

After latest update, App doesn’t sync activity that I selected on my Sense 2.  Also, trying to add activity manually (after the fact) appears to work, but disappears from App when any other selection is made. Can you help? Thanks

Thank you so much for letting us know that the Fitbit app is not syncing the recorded data from your Sense 2 and for all your efforts.

I suggest you try to do the following:

  • Log out of the Fitbit app.
  • Delete the Fitbit app.
  • Reinstall the app.
  • Log in again. 
  • Try to restart your Sense 2 too: press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button.

Perhaps you could comment on why some exercise activities do sync but others don’t. For example, if I select “weightlifting” and perform my usual gym routine, the Sense 2 shows the data during the activity, but does not sync and the App does not collect the data.  However, if I select “weights”, everything would be fine.  Is this a known phenomenon, or (perhaps) the subtle differences in what the activity expects in movement, HR etc that prevents a sensible track.  Clearly, I will continue to use the Sense 2 activity that works and most closely matches my routine.  Anyway, just wondering if what I observe is my Sense 2….or me😊
