I keep getting a message every so often saying device paring on text messages is that normal and how can I stop seeing this message. I have only had it for a day or two

Hi there, @Graham58. Welcome to the forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense 2.
As a first approach, please try the following in the order listed:
With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Sense 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I got a new tablet that didn't support text messages and it was linked to tablet and phone together so I deleted it off the tablet and it was fine after that
