Not sure if this has always been available as based on what others were saying I never paid attention, but recently I switched back to Pocket Casts to listen to podcasts and on the Sense 2 I DO have playback controls.
While I was playing a podcast I happened to check notifications on my Sense 2 and noticed there was a Pocket Casts notification. Scrolled up and found these controls, and they do all work...

Some apps send notifications including response/control buttons.

Awesome, wasn't aware of this. Just enabled notification for pocket casts in the Fitbit app. After like 5 minutes or so the notification came through. Wish it was immediate but this helps during commutes

..interesting.. this suggests a potential way to control music on the phone, by using a music-player app that gives a notification containing play/pause/skip controls...
Is it weird that after knowing this I'm scared Google would release an update to "patch" this?

@TLinkins It also worked on the original Sense. Don't worry too much about removing it. It would cripple the whole notifications feature and to be honest controlling music through notifications is a bit of a chore.
