Push notifications, a definition and then description of my problem

I'm seeing a ton of miscommunication regarding notifications so I want to be clear about my problem. I have a Pixel 9 pro XL. I have a Sense 2 (although I don't think that's relevant). I had a Versa 4 before this, same exact problem.

Push notifications = notifications I get from my app on my phone. Push notifications are not defined as showing up on my watch. I want my fitbit app to tell me things on my phone and NONE of them are working.

My phone and Sense 2 are connected. My steps, sleep, heartbeat, etc update all the time. I can open the fitbit app and sync right now with no problem.

Steps I've taken

  1. Open fitbit app on phone, click on the account icon in upper right, click on "fitbit settings", click on "push notifications", turned on ALL the notifications.
  2. Open Android phone settings, click "apps", click "fitbit", click "notifications" (note that Android is telling me it sends me 0 notifications in this category), turned on ALL the notifications.
  3. Go back to Android phone fitbit app settings, click "permissions", turn on all permissions except camera, microphone and photos and videos.
  4. Go back to Android phone fitbit app settings, click "app battery usage", ensure "allow background usage" is ticked on.
  5. Rebooted both devices
  6. Uninstalled the fitbit app on my phone, reconnect the app on my phone, reboot phone and watch and followed steps 1-4 again. I've done this TWICE now.

Can anyone help me? I've search everywhere, I can't find any problems in forums or help articles that are giving me any advice I haven't already tried.

Hi Mario, Did YOU read my post? I posted a screen shot of the exact settings you referred me to and they are all turned ON in the screenshot!!! I don't understand these moderator posts replying to me that completely ignore my entire post. How is that help in ANY WAY??? I get that you work with some people who can't follow instructions but I've very carefully laid out all the steps I've tried and I have two moderator replies that both ignore the entire text of my post.

Does anyone have a suggestion that shows they've read my post? Or will I get a reply from a moderator next time telling me to uninstall and reinstall the fitbit app on my phone (because I already said I did that too)?

Hi @ckmcwill, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Thank you for the explanation of your issue. If you want to receive in your Sense 2 notifications of events on your mobile such as phone calls and text messages, you need to setup a notifications sevice.

To do so, plese follow the instructions from our help article How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? below the section "How do I set up notifications?" > "Android phones"

If you have already followed these instructions to no avail, you may be interested in checking the section "Why are notifications delayed or missing?"

Hi David. Did you read my post? You linked an article for helping get notifications on your fitbit device. My post was very clearly NOT about that. In fact, this generic reply is quite common in this forum and I went to the trouble of typing things out as clear as possible to avoid getting this response.

I want push notifications ON MY PHONE FROM MY FITBIT APP. Notifications on my fitbit device are working just fine.

Hi @ckmcwill ! Welcome back to the Community !
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing troubles with the push notifications.

Could you please verify the information and steps shown in the following help article ? How do I choose which alerts Fitbit sends me?
For each item in the Push Notifications and Email Notifications, you can review and adjust your notifications settings.

I hope this serves.
