Just did a factory reset to clear my personal data on my 1-week-old Sense2 and now will not sync to the phone anymore.

I had a different watch face installed ( non-stock watch face) when did the reset. Now on the watch it says, "clock error" and "Go to Fitbit app and try another clock".

Tried shutting Sense 2 off and restarting Sense 2; keeps coming back to same message.

When swipe down on watch face, the "Gear" menu is not highlighted and will not let me select; other items I can select. Also, I cannot get any actions by swiping from right or left.

What now???

Found below from old post and seems to have solved issue as brought Sense 2 back to original factory setup screen asking for language input!!!!

Procedure from old post:

After a few different emails to support - I finally got a response that fixed my Sense being stuck in a reboot loop. Hope it helps.

Please follow the next steps in order to do a factory reset using the buttons:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
  3. After the screen turns off, you’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration.
      2. After you feel the vibration, release the button.
        • This vibration indicates they started the factory reset.
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.
        • Open the app and try to setup the Sense again to the account.

Next issue --- How do you to actually Tune Off the Sense 2 as want to put back into the box.

Pressing the side button and holding for 10 seconds just keeps restarting it?

Any suggestions?

Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. You will see Shutdown button.

That only works once unit is set and connected to phone.

Anyhow,  it's now an "Open Box"  returned item at Best Buy.

Then maybe the Sense 2 needs to be setup and an Erase Function needs to be done.

Really the main thing to erase/disable is Fitbit Pay, which can be down through the bank.

From page 64 of the user manual.
