What you are looking for is the average heart rate for the activity/exercise you just performed. You have to start your exercise by swiping right on your Sense 2 and select the exercise to start (e.g. walk), and when you finished, end the exercise. Once you have sync'd the watch to your app, the exercise would appear under the Exercise days tile under the Activity section. In the exercise, you can see your average heart rate.
Viewing average heart rate for the day doesn't really make sense, as most of the time, you could be inactive or asleep, which doesn't contribute to any meaningful result. Resting heart rate might be a useful indicator for heart rate on a daily basis.

Hi @JohnColuccio5 Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
Let me help you with your question about your heart rate stats.
Usually, you can find all your heart rate stats in the "heart" tile of your Fitbit App. If by any chance you don't see this tile, please follow the instructions below to display it:
- On the Today tab , tap the pencil tile Edit pencil.
- To add a stat tile, swipe down and find the stat you want to add tap Add. To hide a stat tile, tap the X icon on the stat you want to remove.
- Tap Done.
Have a great day!

Hi David, thanks for your prompt reply. I already have the Heart tile which I can find when I scroll down on the Today tab.
Initially it shows my current heart rate (and also resting heart rate). When I tap on the tile I get my heart rate range for the day including a graph. When I scroll down I get additional data such as heart rate zones but there is no indication of average heart rate.
Perhaps some context, I previously had a Versa 2 which I would initiate (the watch) when I went for a walk. After walk completion I would gather max and average heart rate data. Rarely the watch would play up but if I did I could always go to the Fitbit app on my phone to get the info.
So when my Sense2 played up after my walk I went to the Fitbit app to get the data but could not find average heart rate.
Hope thats made it clearer
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for your advise about checking the Exercise tile which is exactly what I need. I only wanted the average for my hour walk.
cheers, John
