7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Sense 2 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Sense 2 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Personally, I wouldn’t do the update. I am a Sense 2 user since this past Spring and I unknowingly and mistakenly did the update and then subsequently uninstalled the update. I never stopped getting update reminders so until Lizzie or another Fitbit moderator returns to say “all is clear”, I am remaining in my un-updated app, as that is the only way it functions with the battery GPS, etc..

Definitely dismiss it. Until it has been confirmed that Fitbit has fixed everything with the firmware, ignore it.
This however puts you in a bind. If you need to restore your watch, it will automatically update to this firmware.

My Sense 2 is inconsistent in nearly every category. HR, (often it shows nothing), steps, health metrics, sleep, and worst of all, time of day! I have to reset it to sync it, by pushing and holding the side button in til the logo comes on.
mover the last several months I’ve spent hours chatting or talking to Fitbit support, or trying to troubleshoot on my own. I e had many Fitbits and am loyal ! Until now. I’m actually thinking seriously about an Apple Watch. Makes me sad. Has anyone else had this much trouble with theirs?

Hi @jojoWheels - check which firmware version you have - this link might be useful firmware version 194.61
May be a factory reset will cure it.

When is the latest firmware update for sense 2 expected to arrive in The Netherlands?
I still cannot use the stress tile, have tryed everything suggested so far, and this update is supposed to fix te problem.

Hi I hope you have fixed all the tons of sleep tracking issues I see many of us having and are unable to resolve no matter what advice you give us.

@LizzyFitbit It's been another 2 weeks and it's been 2+ months since the initial announcement for the "new" firmware update.
There are new features as well as bug fixes in this update. However, this hasn't been rolled out to everyone yet.
Can we have some forms of updates?

Is there an option to not take the update? I mean honestly my Sense 2 is working fine and I'd hate for it to stop because of a software update. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

Yes. Just ignore the update when you get the notification.

Now it is more than 2 months since Fitbit released version 194.61 for Sense 2 but till date, I have not received update for this version. Please do the needful.

Ditto. What's more: Earlier today I did the initial installation/"update" of the warranty-replacement (refurbished) Sense2 that I just received. Ironically, during the 20mins-ish process one of the clickable advert blurbs mentions(i.e., lowkey boasts about) its built-in GPS (just as was the case back in April when I got my old Sense2.. which lthough in fairness does not there mention 'Dynamic' or 'Connected' phone-derived location).. yet upon starting a Walk/Hike/Run the first time it (as before) does not even have its built-in GPS receiver enabled by default (and engaging it is not especially intuitive, for me atleast).. and I had restart the device to make it trip into working.. which is still slower and less- precise and accurate than (in most locations ⅋ cellular carrier coverages) phone-assisted Location (which my Sense2 _still_ lacks.. now almost October!).

I just got the update. Yay(?) But now my sense 2 doesn't sync at all regardless of what I do. So..People, don't get the update!!!

Android, but connection has always been intermittent (which is odd since it's under Google). Most of the time the connection was good, but when it didn't work it seemed more noteworthy. Lol.
However, now it doesn't work at all 😞
