For two years I enjoyed Sense GPS, so naturally I jumped for the Sense 2 thinking 'new technology, it will be better'. Unhappily, the Sense 2 GPS is poor compared to the Sense GPS. Not by a little - for my daily walks and hikes it's essentially useless.
The Sense GPS pretty much always found GPS within 60 seconds - 25% of the time Sense 2 finds it within 5 minutes, but 75% of the time it doesn't find it at all.
When it finds GPS, Sense 2 GPS routinely reports 10% less distance than Sense GPS.
Hoping the problem can be solved in software because if the problem is the chip, then we're in trouble here. It does provide distance based on stride count and stride length as a fallback. But isn't the point of GPS to sense and report actual location and distance?
