Hi there @Rozrikis! Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thanks for sharing with us the situation you had with your Sense 2 losing 12,000 steps at midnight.

Can you tell us more about this?

In the meantime I suggest updating the Fitbit app.

I have called 3 times about this issue and I have updated the app several times per instructions from the techs that I talked to.
Since the week of July 22nd, every night at midnight, the app drops anywhere from 10,000 to 22,000 steps. The watch seems to update the app fine every day, but at midnight when the app resets to zero for the next day, when I go back to look at yesterday a lot of the steps have disappeared as I mentioned above.  To me it seems to be an app issue, since the watch updates the app fine, but the counts disappear at midnight when the app moves to the next day. I try to walk at least 29,000 each day.  A lot of days I walk 40,000 to 50,000 steps.  My goal is 200,000 steps per week. This is very upsetting to me.  I have been with Fitbit for maybe 10 years and want to stay with Fitbit, but I need a resolution soon, please. Thanks, Rose Mundy

Hi there @Rozrikis! Thanks for the explanation and your efforts.

Could you please verify which Fitbit app version you have?

In the meantime while this issue gets resolved by our techs , you can edit the data in the Fitbit app.

Depending on the exercise, you can choose to edit the type of exercise, start and end times, distance covered, and calories burned.

  • From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the Exercise days tile.
  • Tap the exercise you want to edit.
  • To edit the exercise, tap the pencil icon.

I also suggest you to restart your Sense 2:

  1. Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app
  2. Tap the Settings app
  3. Tap Restart Device
  4. Tap Restart
  5. Or: press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button.

Well it’s midnight and I just lost about 10,000 steps.  Still no response from Fitbit.  Thoroughly fed up.

Hi there @Rozrikis! Thanks for your reply.

Just to confirm, were you able to perform the restart? Also please check which Fitbit app version you have and if there's an update available, install it. Additionally, make sure that the time zone set in the Fitbit app is the correct one. How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?
