Sense 2 counting TOO many steps while sleeping and/or on charger

Today my Sense 2 starting counting way too many steps. It originally said I had 52,000 between 12am-1am (I was sleeping) and when I put it on the charger - it now says I have 170,000 steps! I can't figure out why it's doing that or how to delete the steps. Additionally - it is giving me badges I did NOT earn... Anyone else have this issue?

Have you tried restarting your Sense 2? to see if this helps? It could just be a temporary software glitch. Obviously this won't delete any previous steps or badges you've accumulated. 

It might be worth contacting customer support (here) to see if they can remove the badges you have acquired (if you want them removed).

I just set up my new watch this afternoon and my steps went from 6000 to 484620!!! I cannot work out how to fix it, uninstalling it just hasn’t worked!
